School & Student Events

Where School Celebrations Become Lasting Memories

Milestone moments deserve more than a gym or rented ballroom. A cruise turns a school celebration into something students will look back on years from now—laughing on the open decks with friends, watching the skyline drift by, and feeling like the night belongs entirely to them.

With indoor and outdoor decks, skyline views, music carrying across the water, and room for students to spread out and enjoy, the whole event takes on a sense of adventure. It feels like a celebration made just for them—and one they’ll talk about for years. Our custom private charters offer:

  • Indoor and outdoor spaces that allow students to socialize or dance while they enjoy the views
  • Flexible layouts for DJs, photo booths, snack stations, and other student-friendly elements
  • Convenient departure locations with space for bus drop offs
  • Affordable non-alcoholic beverage options

And because the sights and skyline serve as the backdrop, events feels elevated without the need for extensive décor.

Safety First, Fun Always

We know school officials and parents need clarity and confidence. That’s why we offer:

  • Experienced captains and crew rigorously trained in safety protocols
  • A contained space with restricted access during boarding and that is easy for chaperones to supervise once underway
  • Enclosed, heated interiors for comfort & fun in any weather

Submit an inquiry and tell us about your group, goals, and ideal date. We’ll share availability, pricing, and next steps.

Our home dock at Pier 55 on the Seattle waterfront is the easiest for most school groups! We also have other docking options around Lake Washington, Lake Union and even elsewhere in the Puget Sound, although there may be an added cost if vessel relocation is needed.

Our team can work with you to set a departure time for your cruise that matches your school schedule and itinerary, from weekday mornings to weekend evenings. Late night departures (departing after 9pm) may also be available for graduation night festivities.

We do not enforce a bag policy. If non-permitted items are found onboard, it may result in your cruise returning to the dock early. Any additional bag checks or security enforcement is the responsibility of the client.

Food is not required, though it is strongly recommended for cruises of 2.5 hours or longer! You can choose to work directly with one of our preferred caterers for a heavier meal and buffet option, or you can bring your own food onboard for an additional fee (sandwich platters, pizza, snack plates, etc.). Accommodations for dietary needs will be handled by the caterer, or by the client if you plan to bring your own food.

Yes! Our School Celebration Package (under $10 per person) is perfect for proms or other big celebrations and includes all non-alcoholic beverages, including mocktails like Shirley Temples, juices, hot chocolate/hot apple cider, and more. Or, if budget is tight, our Standard School Package (less than $5 per person) includes fountain sodas and iced tea (with coffee and tea available for chaperones or for students on request).

Whichever you choose, all beverages must be supplied by Argosy Cruises – We do not allow outside beverages to be brought onboard.

Most! We have wireless microphones onboard that can be used for speeches, welcome announcements, and more. We also work with vendors to do all sorts of stuff – DJs, giant jenga, karaoke, carnival games, caricature artists, live musicians, balloon arches, photobooths and almost anything else you can imagine! We can connect you with a vendor that can help make your dream come to life within the restrictions of being on a boat. If you already have a vendor in mind who you would like to work with, please let us know so we can ensure that our space and staff are prepared, and be advised that there can be unique challenges in working onboard vessels.

We cruise rain or shine! Enjoy the views from the water year-round from the comfortable indoor heated spaces and panoramic outdoor decks on all of our vessels.

In the very rare case that it is not safe to be out on the water due to high winds or unhealthy air quality, our team will make the call and work with you to postpone the cruise, find an alternative venue, or cancel with a full refund.

Depending on boat availability, we may be able to reschedule your cruise to a time that that aligns with the school schedule.

Our guided sightseeing cruises are a great fit for student groups looking to learn about Seattle’s past, present, and natural surroundings. Please learn more and submit an inquiry on our Group Tickets webpage – depending on your group size, private tours may be available. If you have questions about the specific topics covered in our tours, please include your questions in your inquiry.
