Christmas Ship™ Festival and the Fund For The Needy
Celebrating 21 Years of Partnership
The Seattle Times Fund For The Needy raises money to benefit charities that provide health and welfare services for children, seniors, and families in the Puget Sound community. Over $22 million has been raised by donors since the non-profit’s inauguration in 1979.
Since 1996, Argosy Cruises has donated a portion of the Christmas Ship™ Festival proceeds to the Fund For The Needy. This year we raised nearly $38,000 from ticket and beverage sales, and encouraged Parade of Boats participants to donate $1,550 directly to the fund.
January 9, we presented Alan Fisco, the president of The Seattle Times, a check for $38,000.
Christmas Ship™ Raffle – Alaska Airlines Giveaway
Our partner, Alaska Airlines, considerately donated three pairs of airline tickets towards our first Christmas Ship™ raffle. One hundred percent of raffle ticket sales were donated to the Fund For The Needy. Congratulations to the lucky winners!*
