Yes! All private charters are full boat rentals for your group. We do not offer split-boat rentals, so you don’t have to worry about sharing your space with another event.
If you are departing from a lake location, you will likely see some city skylines in the distance, famous lakeside residences, and maybe even a glimpse at Mt. Rainier!
If departing from the salt water/Puget Sound side, you’ll get to take in the views of the Seattle Waterfront, nearby islands, and if you’re lucky…Mt. Rainier!
Space is limited and popular dates fill fast, so we recommend inquiring six months in advance. Still exploring? It’s never too early to check availability for your preferred date – our team is here to help as you decide! So that we can properly schedule our staff, our deadline for confirming bookings is no later than 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Our standard cruise time is 3 hours underway, plus 30 minutes of boarding for your guests. We can also work with you to extend your cruise.
The venue fee for a private charter with Argosy Cruises typically starts at $6,000 and averages $8,500 during peak seasons and dates, but each quote is custom. Our team carefully considers your unique event details, group size, and budget alongside our available dates/times when recommending a vessel and preparing your quote. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to submit an inquiry!
Argosy will be providing all beverages – we do not allow outside beverages to be brought onboard. Our sales team can provide you with a full menu of our beverage selections.
You are welcome to bring your own food (for an additional fee). If bringing your own food onboard, you will need to provide plates, utensils, serving ware, and ways to heat/cool/store food if needed. Argosy does not provide food service and does not have kitchen facilities onboard.
We cruise rain or shine! Enjoy the views from the water year-round from the comfortable indoor heated spaces and panoramic outdoor decks on all of our vessels.
In the very rare case that it is not safe to be out on the water due to high winds or unhealthy air quality, our team will make the call and work with you to postpone the cruise, find an alternative venue, or cancel with a full refund.
A private charter is great for guests wanting a custom experience – where you can build your own charter from our base options (catering, bar package, have vendors onboard) and customize your departure time and location.
The Private Views Cruise is available select evenings from the Seattle Waterfront May-September and is a good fit for groups up to 130 that want a shorter cruise and want a predetermined menu and bar arrangement. Learn more about the Private Views Cruise here.
There is no group size minimum for a private charter! However, because our venue pricing reflects that each of our vessels can comfortably accommodate more than 50 guests, smaller celebrations may find that a custom private charter is outside of their budget.
