City of Bellevue
This Seattle suburb started out as a coal mining area in the 1860s, then added the logging industry and farming to its resume. In 1939, the first bridge across Lake Washington transformed Bellevue into a suburb, and in 1953 the city incorporated. Today, Bellevue is the fifth largest city in Washington state and home to companies like T-Mobile, Puget Sound Energy, PACCAR, and a large Microsoft campus.
